A life saver?

The first time I had one of these was around 30 years ago, I was commenting to work by car and it involved travelling over the moors and eventually using a car park in the middle of nowhere. Admittedly, if it had been down to me, I would never have bought a foldable shovle but like so many things I have, when somebody else has bought me something that I never would have bought, it becomes the best thing since sliced bread.

The reason I have now bought this one is that I found that first one indispensable. When the snow came, it was great to know that I had it in the boot of the car. Admittedly, I never had to dig myself out of a snowdrift, however, I did use it and have used it since, to clear snow and Ice from under my wheels, enabling me to get home.

Buy one, put it in the boot in a box with a pack of biscuits and a blanket over the winter period and you are sorted for that 'just in case' moment. It's not that it cant happen, you see it on the TV every winter, whether it is being stuck on the motorway or sliding off the road.

I've put three links below, the one I bought and also two that are similar but certainly cheaper
